What it Means to be a Health & Democracy Partner

Health & Democracy’s work wouldn’t be possible without close collaboration from our partners. Our H&D Partners have hosted member education opportunities, joined opportunities to take action and defend democracy, and have worked to advocate for integrating civic education into existing community health initiatives. Members agree to:

  • Meet regularly to discuss actionable opportunities to strengthen civic participation across the health sector

  • Receive partner reports and materials to stay informed about ongoing initiatives and opportunities to advance an inclusive representative democracy

  • Serve as strategic thought partners for developing health leaders to act as champions for inclusive civic and voter participation

  • Engage their memberships and/or networks to promote an inclusive and representative democracy as an upstream determinant of health

  • Join and share relevant actionable opportunities to support policies and practices that make government more efficient, accessible, and responsive to the needs of real human beings.

  • Are willing to be identified as a Health & Democracy Partner
